How long does an import take?

Small files (under 500 items) → usually a few seconds. Larger imports → may take a few minutes; Folio will send you a notification when done.

My Readwise Reader file won’t upload into Folio. What should I do?

Make sure it’s the CSV export file. Check that the file is not too large (split into multiple exports if needed).

Folio will display a confirmation message indicating whether your data was successfully imported into your account.

To export your saved content from Readwise Reader, follow these steps:

Open the Readwise Reader app.
Click on the Export option or use this direct link: https://readwise.io/export
Scroll down to the CSV section and click Export.

Once you've downloaded the Readwise Reader CSV file, follow these steps to import your bookmarks into Fol io:

Click the ⚙️ Settings icon in the Folio app's bottom navigation bar.
Select the Import option from the Settings page.
Choose Readwise Reader (.CSV).
Folio will open a file explorer where you can upload your Readwise Reader CSV file.
Confirm that you're uploading the correct Instapaper CSV file.
Wait for the import process to complete.
Check the success message when the import process finishes.
